The Posters

The colour green has been chosen to represent Oceania because it epitomises the vast natural beauty of the rainforests in the Oceanic countries. It is a colour that symbolises growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility which is what multiculturalism and harmony in diversity is all about. The leaves are symbolic of the various trees and plants that can be found in Oceania and worldwide and has been used to create a refreshing look like most of the rainforests in the Oceanic region.

The colour purple has been chosen to represent the Americas as it is a colour that symbolises power, luxury, and ambition. The symbols used to represent the Americas are the different head garments that are worn worldwide. This theme is partially inspired by the colourful Samba carnivals as the Americas are always the life of the party!

A dark yellow has been chosen to represent the African continent as it is a colour representative of the desert regions of Africa.Indigenous arts and symbols have been used to symbolise the cave paintings and the rich ancient history of this vast continent.

The colour royal blue has been chosen to represent Europe partially inspired by the Queen and her royalty. Water vessels from various cultures worldwide have been used to reinforce the theme for Multicultural week because the water vessel is symbolic of mankind. Water vessels come is all shapes and sizes, yet they all serve the same purpose – to hold water. Humanity also comes in all shapes and sizes, yet we are all the same on the inside - our internal bodily functions all serve the same purpose.

The colour red has been chosen to represent Asia because it is the colour of happiness and prosperity in many of the South East Asian countries and may be used to attract good luck. Partially inspired by the Hana Matsuri Festival, various floral symbols have been used to denote the exotic nature of Asia.

You'll notice dates at the END on each of the MCW Days..

America Day & Asia Day has the same DATES at the bottom of these two pages..

Nobody'd really,but non-oblivious people like myself will..=)
