The colour purple has been chosen to represent the Americas as it is a colour that symbolises power, luxury, and ambition. The symbols used to represent the Americas are the different head garments that are worn worldwide. This theme is partially inspired by the colourful Samba carnivals as the Americas are always the life of the party!
A dark yellow has been chosen to represent the African continent as it is a colour representative of the desert regions of Africa.Indigenous arts and symbols have been used to symbolise the cave paintings and the rich ancient history of this vast continent.
The colour royal blue has been chosen to represent Europe partially inspired by the Queen and her royalty. Water vessels from various cultures worldwide have been used to reinforce the theme for Multicultural week because the water vessel is symbolic of mankind. Water vessels come is all shapes and sizes, yet they all serve the same purpose – to hold water. Humanity also comes in all shapes and sizes, yet we are all the same on the inside - our internal bodily functions all serve the same purpose.
The colour red has been chosen to represent Asia because it is the colour of happiness and prosperity in many of the South East Asian countries and may be used to attract good luck. Partially inspired by the Hana Matsuri Festival, various floral symbols have been used to denote the exotic nature of Asia.

but how come Asia Day falls on the same day as America Day, 2nd Of October??..its at the bottom of of Asia & America Day..

America Day is on the 2 Oct. Asia Day is on 5 October - same day as Pasar Malam. I don't see where you're talking about JP.
As you open "America & Asia Day" on the "links" tab on the right hand side of the taskbar..
You'll notice dates at the END on each of the MCW Days..
America Day & Asia Day has the same DATES at the bottom of these two pages..
